PILLOW TALK

Many years ago, 1997 to be exact,
 I did a show where I met a
fellow artist extraordinaire......
Norma Schneeman.
Before the show opened, I fell in love and
purchased this wonderful piece of art.

Since I know that Norma is a very talented painter,
I believe she hand painted this pillow.
It is then quilted with a running stitch.
When I look at it, I am always amazed by the detailing.

I connect with it on a deeper level,
because I have been doing the same thing so many times,
potting up beloved topiaries.

The little sign.....Flowers and Herbs.....
truly says it all.
Now I am putting this lovely pillow to sleep
for the winter,
to appear again in the spring, where I will be doing
the same, as the  pretty lady in the picture.
Good night for now....

Are you all done putting summer away?
Me.......not by a long shot!!!!
First I am going to enjoy my family arriving tomorrow.

I wish you pretty fall days.

God bless,
Evi

  4. Hello dear Evi
Well I'm on the other side of the world in New Zealand, so I am doing what the lovely lady on your pillow is doing!
What a talented person Norma is and you made a truly wonderful purchase!

I've only had the odd day potting up things - we are having very strong winds at the mo! Not so pleasant in the garden but there's so much I want to do!!!! Ideas I've been dreaming about over the bleak days of Winter!

Wishing you a happy fun week with your family - what could be nicer!

    hugs
    Shane

  6. What a beautiful pillow, Evi, I am way behind on getting the garden to bed, this year I have so many geraniums and I want to try and save them, I know that is crazy when you can buy starts at 50cents in Feburay. I just have a hard time to letting them go. Have a wonderful time with your family XO MARY
