Welcome To My World!

I am so happy that you have stopped by for a visit!

It is here that I will try to share with you my creations, a bit of my home, my gardens and what inspires me.

It has been a crazy year so far,
and summer has not been much different.
I have been trying to keep up with things, but
I have been failing in most everything.
My hubby has been having medical issues,
and I have not been able to concentrate on much else.
And to everyone who has been asking
about when I will make and post dolls,
I am working on them.
It has been slow going because
I have not been feeling very creative of late.
But I thought I post a few pretty pictures
of flowers we saw on a drive awhile ago.
Soon all this beauty will be gone.
But I am basically an optimist, and hope
that fall will bring better things for our family.

Our butterfly bush is almost finished blooming.
I love watching all the  different butterflies and bees.
Last spring I found these wonderful old
pictures of this absolutely beautiful lady
dressed for the perfect summer day.
If this does not say summer,
I don't know what does!
I wonder who this lovely woman was,
and what her life might have been like.
And with fall approaching soon,
I will enjoy the last warm days of summer.
Please except my apologies for not answering all e-mails,
not visiting blogs lately, and commenting.
I do appreciate hearing from all my friends.
I wish everyone beautiful late summer days.
God bless,

  1. Yes, Summer is almost gone.. Your flowers are just lovely! So sorry you have been feeling badly and hoping your husband gets to feeling better...Have a great week. Good to see you back. Blessings!

  2. I don't know how I came across your blog, but I have to say that I LOVE the basket in your header.

I am sorry to hear that summer has been tough for your family. You sound upbeat and strong so I know that better times will soon be there.

  3. Pretty pretty! Summer has been a rough time for us too. A few sick people in the family and like you said...it's all I can think about. I hope things turn around for you. Let's be optimistic together.

  4. Evi, I think of you often. I had hoped that things were better. I pray for improved health for your hubby and for less stress in your life.
The flowers are gorgeous. My garden is hanging on, but not flourishing in this heat. Today brought cooler temps and a hint of rain. We had a teaser rain for a brief time and chance of more during the night. Hope it finds us.
Take care of yourself and know that your friends are keeping you close in our hearts and thoughts. ~ Sarah

  5. your post sounds so melancholy...here's wishing for better times for you and yours..xx

  6. Dear Evi, I'm sorry to hear of your husbands illness. That would be a big stressor for me. You don't need to apologize for getting behind...it happens. It is good to see you post, as always, and the pictures are lovely. I don't like the end of summer but I do hope that things for you and your dear husband will improve soon. Sending you best thoughts and big hugs!

  7. My dear Evi,
I`m so worried reading that your husbond still have problems, oh dear ,and I know myself, how such problems don`t leave much creative feelings.
Your garden looks gorgeous with all the nature wonders, there.- lets hope fall brings more joy and energy to you and your family, my very dear friend.
Much love, and hugs from Dorthe
p.s. hope my mail has arrived -
but don`t write untill you have time and piece to do it,... I know how hard it can be finding time!!!!
    as you know .

  8. I'm usually a silent reader but today I just had to give you a long distance hug. I'm sorry things aren't as lovely as your beautiful photos right now. It's awful when we worry for those we love. It's truly does drain all the creative energy right out. I pray things improve quickly for you and your family.

  9. What lovely plants. They gave me a lift on the dreay day. What is the name of the pink vine?

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I love to hear from you!
