SHARING SOME REMODEL PHOTOS

About two years ago we started our remodeling for the upcoming sale of our home.
It has been an uphill battle, but at times rewarding.
Unlike many people who have had bad experiences, we have encountered great contractors and people who have gone out of their way to help us.
Since hubby is no longer able to do all the carpentry etc. I have learned that there are good and kind people out there.
To them goes our heartfelt thanks.
I also learned how to deal with situations I would have put onto hubbies shoulders. I learned to do lots for myself. So far I have, caulked, plastered, painted, put up molding, and so much more.
Today our son put up more molding....and taught me how to do it myself. He gave me a small nail gun with a compressor. I put my first brads in..... I guess there is something to be said about a girl carrying a gun...if it's the right sort.

When you are competing with lots of homes for sale, you want yours to be special and hope to find a buyer who can see themselves being happy here as we have been.
I guess the show on HGTV "Buying and selling" is both a curse and an inspiration.

Anyway, here is the family room which also can become the Master bedroom since it has a full bathroom. My studio next to it has already build-in closets with room for more.
So here are some pictures..... Hope you enjoy!

We added pretty stone behind the Italien wood stove.
All the walls had to be sanded down.
They were so heavely stuccoded that you could get hurt.
What a mess!!!!

Lots of things from throughout the house
have found new places
and some of the furniture was sold.

And as the saying goes
"When one door closes another opens",
or in this instance a gate.

Hubby is holding his own right now, and I continue to go on getting the house ready for sale.
The middle of May will come soon enough!

Next month is Spring.
New beginnings!
I wish everyone all the very best.
I greatly appreciate your comments.
Please forgive me for not answering,
this last year has been stressful and time slips  away.

God bless,
Evi

    1. Thank you so much. Yes, it has been a long time. I am taking one day at a time, some good, some bad. The extra stress is hard. May will be a nice time to put the house for sale. Where to go will be the next hurdle. But one thing at a time....
      I hope you are well?!
      Sending you hugs,
      Evi

  6. Just wanted to say hello and that I think of you often and hope you are well. Take care of yourself, as caregivers often neglect themselves. The room looks lovely.
