Welcome To My World!

I am so happy that you have stopped by for a visit!

It is here that I will try to share with you my creations, a bit of my home, my gardens and what inspires me.

Periodically, I will feature those dolls and creations that are available for purchase on my other blog:

Thank you for visiting!
I hope you enjoy your stay here!

Hello to everyone!
It's been such a long time since I posted anything.
I had a hard time remembering how.
It has been a hard road at times,
but there have been good moments too.
I try to appreciate what is now,
not always easy.
But when you hear of all the horrible things
that are going on in this world,
you have to count your blessings and hold on tight to
what really matters, family and friends.
My thoughts and prayers are with all the families
that have been affected by this senseless tragedy.
Every time something like this happens I have just one question
Answers fail me.
As to things around here.....
I went thru pictures a few days ago and wondered
where my year went.
It is still Fall and I thought I share a few from the
late Summer 'till now.
Who knows whether we will still be living here
next year.
The house is going on the market coming Spring.
We have done so much work....
and are still not quite finished.
I hope the next family will love and appreciate our  home
as much as we have.
It will be sad to say goodbye.

He...or she is thinking
"it's all mine....don't get any ideas"

This little fellow just stuffed his cheeks.
I love them all!
Except for the very large bear we had this Summer
and a poisonous snake.
Both scared me halve to death!
The bear was bending a wrought iron bar
that hangs our bird feeders down to the ground
I won't miss that when we move into town!

Ebbie found this very neat hornets nest among
the wisteria,
thank God empty.
I did not have time to sit under the arbor with the wisteria
this year.
It has dried out now and still looks really interesting.

I took this picture just before we closed the pool.
Love the reflection.

I am overwintering many plants in our house
this year.
When hubby stopped working end of last year,
 I lost my "greenhouse"
which was his office.
It had the perfect light and temperature.

I am ending with a cute little winter bunny.
Sometime next week
I will post some new winter creations
for sale in my blog shop.
I will let you know the date.
With all that has been going on here,
there has been very little time to be creative.
Meanwhile I wish everyone a happy
Holiday season.
May God bless you and keep you safe!

  1. So, so good to hear from you, Evi! I know it's sad to be moving from your lovely home but I truly believe you will work your magic on your next place (and not have to deal with scary visitors!).

Sending warm wishes to you and your husband!

  2. Evi, I literally clapped with joy when I saw your post on my sidebar. How wonderful to see a post from you. I've wondered and been so concerned. I have missed your beautiful posts and hope you will continue to treat us to an occasional post. I look forward to seeing your newest creations.
I know it is difficult to go through the process of leaving your beautiful home. We ventured down that path last spring, but reversed our plans and decided to stay here. I've much packed and in storage, so life here is bit unsettled. Working through some decisions. ;-)
I wish you and your husband only the best. Happy Holidays to you, dear friend.

  3. Dear Evi, I have not been blogging for ages, but felt I needed to send some hugs your way...life gets more challenging as we age and cope with all the changes...but I try to focus on our blessings and all the goodness and gifts bestowed on us when we see others suffering and struggling so much more...I know you will make your new home warm and wonderful, where ever you go....May God bless you and keep you and your husband under his care....N.xo

  4. Hallo Evi: Das ist aber eine schöne überraschung deinen post zu sehen!

Planning to move out of your home that is near and dear to your heart is very difficult, but you will make your new space just as lovely and inviting as your current home.

I wish you and your family the very best!

    Stay warm and safe!

P.S. I am looking forward to seeing your new artwork!

  5. So happy to see you here. I ask about you to Carole all the time. Life can be very challenging indeed especially with what you are facing, but we must find the blessings and grace in each day and moment. May you find the strength to walk down this new path and and find peace. Holding you and Ebbie in my thoughts and prayers.

  6. I'm new in your blog.....I'm from Italy. Many compliments for your snaps!! Very interesting the hornets nest...nature is fantastic in all its events!!
