We have been working very hard.
Spring is always such a busy time, cleaning up in the garden.....
cleaning out the attic....what a mess.
So what is nicer, than a relaxing bath, filled with the scent of
lavender, rosemary, lovely bubble bath and fragrant soaps.

This antique English bath tray is the perfect vehicle to
carry all the essentials for a relaxing time.
I often add a favorite magazine or book to make it
even more special.

Lovely natural soaps.

I have never been able to open this soap.
The packaging is just too lovely!
I keep lots of bubble bath close at hand in pretty
glass containers. Love the edging on this one.

Funky bath sponges and a soft chamois
leather ring to exfoliate are in this pretty jar.
The chamois is as soft as butter.

Some of my collection of bathing thermometers.
Most are from Germany, and yes, they still work
just fine, but in Celsius.

My favorite bubble bath...
Lilly of the Valley.
That does not surprise me at all,
since my birthday was last Sunday, and they
are the flowers for the month of May.

Another pretty wrapped soap.
Isn't she sweet!

I treasure this pretty nightgown that
once belonged to my Mom.
Her name was also Eva.
Her middle name Marie-Louise.
So, I became an Eva-Maria with lots of nick names....
Evi, Evchen, Evemie, and many more......
Evi being my favorite.

I adore old hangers.

Well, I now feel soooo relaxed after my bath....
time for a much deserved nap.
To all my blogger friends.... take time for a bubble bath,
smell the roses [or Lilly of the Valley],
or just take a brake and appreciate and enjoy life.

God bless,

  1. Yes...that sounds divine!
    Love all your bath accessories!
    Now, where's my rubber ducky?

  2. Dear Evi, this is so pretty and pure.....your vintage bath accessories beautiful and very rare, never have come across anything like it, and I do my share of antiquing!! I especially love the bath tray, so unusual and useful too....you deserve to enjoy a sumptuous bath! N.xo

  3. Evi, I'll second those suggestions. I love to soak in a hot bath full of bubbles. I smiled when I saw the soap wrapped in the wonderful image of the girl. Just yesterday I was looking at some special soaps from France and thought: don't think I could ever take this wrapper off. ;-)
They are like little pieces of art. Enjoy! ~ Sarah

  4. Such a beautiful bathroom Evi. Love the old english tray. Everything in there is so pretty - who wouldn´t want a relaxed bath in your room.

  5. I love everything that's in your bathroom, stunning! I adore the bath tray and I didn't even know there are things like bath thermometers! I think I may be copying a few things from you, such inspiration and I may have a go at making myself that bath tray. x

  6. Hello Evi, what a lovely post, as usual !!
I seem to love so many things that you do.
I have boxes of soaps that I just want to keep as they are but even when I use the soap I keep the box as they are often so lovely and the perfume stays there.

We've had some sunshine recently which has been lovely.
    I do love spring.

    Love to you.

  7. Evi, Happy belated Birthday!!!
Your bathroom is devine! I love all your "bath" treasures and especially the thermometers. I have not seem those that I am aware of. I can see why you would want to just sit back and relax in that lovey space.

  8. Hello and Happy Belated Birthday Evi. I love the old thermometers. I am going to keep a look out for them. I totally agree with taking time to smell the roses. ENJOY yourself. Hugs Mary

  9. My dear Evi, Oh so beautiful, and vintage- so lovely all. I adore your old collected items all over your home, and those are wonderful.I love the white piece with soap and wooden termometers in, and sweetest night gown from your mother-you both have such sweet names, Evi.
The little white chair is beautiful, too, and all your lovely soaps,-do I spot one from me :-)
Happy belated birthday my dear friend, I hope your day was gorgeous.
    Love and hugs from Dorthe

  12. Oh Evi, Thank you dearly for taking the time to visit, and best of all taking the time to leave a comment of beauty.

I adore the bathroom vignettes you have created over here the bath tray and those thermometers are the best. I love the natural simple feel to the rooms decor, letting each piece work with one another, a perfect patina style of natural and white so calming and soulful.

Thank you for sharing your beauty and inspiring a room scented with bubbles.

  13. Oh how lovely... that sounds devine.
Love all natural soaps as well.
It's lovely that you have a piece of your MOM's clothing.

  14. That's what my bathroom will look like when my kids grow up~ lol
